Transforming Live, Restoring Hope

Transforming Live, Restoring Hope

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.”

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 NLT

In this fast paced world, we expect transformation to occur quick and fully. We expect our parents to be always loving and caring, our spouse to be perfect, kids to make no mistakes, employees to be 100% efficient and productive, bosses to be role models, and politicians to be honest. For some, transformation occurs abruptly when usually caused by a tragic event. For most of us, transformation is a slow process that requires patience fueled by hope. As God has everlasting patience with us, so should we with our brothers and sisters. The most challenging aspect of being transformed is not associated with God’s ability or the person’s desire to be changed, but the support of the people around that person allowing the transformation to occur at God’s pace with patience. Let’s be less judgmental and more loving towards those who are still being transformed. After all, aren’t we all being transformed everyday?
